- Gerardi's most
recent works include the
- Acrylic
Image Constructions:
These constructions include an image on clear film suspended inches
in front of a traditional photograph. The image, printed on special transparent
film and mounted on a plexi sheet, has been digitally manipulated to appear
three dimensional. This construction is meant to be hung on the wall as
a conventional photograph. When viewed from different perspectives the images
play with one's perceptions; inviting the viewer to make their own discoveries
in relation to time, space and reality
- Digital
Constructions:
- These are created
digitally and printed on transparent film. The film is mounted between two
UV acrylic sheets and mounted in a frame. They are meant to be hung on the
wall as well. In some of the constructions the three dimensional illusion
allows the viewer to play with the image as its focal point moves about.
In others the constructions need to be investigated and deconstructed.
